Subperiosteal hematoma of the orbit is an uncommon radiologic finding. Most typically, the hemorrhage is in the superior aspect of the orbit, however, location within the orbit may vary. Subperiosteal hematoma of the orbit may be associated with trauma. Nontraumatic etiology has also been well documented. We present a series of three cases, to illustrate typical and atypical radiologic findings of subperiosteal hematoma of the orbit, both traumatic and nontraumatic. Review of the pertinent radiologic literature and its relation to the cases presented here is also provided.Downloads
