FINDINGS: Coronal contrast enhanced maximum intensity projection (MIP) CT of the abdomen shows the abnormal position of the spleen (*) along the left hemi-abdomen to left lower quadrant oriented vertically instead of the expected position in the left upper quadrant. A long, tortuous splenic vascular pedicle (white arrow) is also seen.
TECHNIQUE: Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) Coronal CT, 64 mAs, 100 kV, 3 mm slice thickness, 100 mL Isovue 370.
