Click 32 year old female status post Essure hysteroscopic sterilization. Non-contrast CT (GE 4-slice scanner, 2.5mm axial images, 120 kVp, 204mAs) performed immediately after HSG. Scout images demonstrate expected positioning of the Essure inserts as well as contrast material within the pelvis. The axial images demonstrate appropriate position of Essure inserts and contrast within the uterus and vaginal vault, but no free contrast spillage in the pelvis. Contrast in the ureters and bladder are consistent with renal clearance of contrast, compatible with venous intravasation during HSG.
